Forestry Tasmania

Post by RF-Bot »

Forestry Tasmania maintains a state-wide network which provides extensive coverage throughout Tasmania and its surrounding areas. Although not usually active on a daily basis, you will find that they tend to become very active during the warmer summer months, when besides normal duties, they maintain constant forest fire watches from strategically placed lookouts scattered around the State. Usually they will provide the first reports of any fires spotted, or be able to provide constant feedback on them.

Most communication is straight forward and easy to follow, you will often stumble across various personnel reporting in on current temperature, wind speeds, and other local weather conditions which can then be relayed back to the Tasmania Fire Service if required.
